Thoughts on YAP: "Throughout my professional career I have been devoted to helping the youth of the Inland Empire. For the last 10 years I have had the opportunity to work directly with the prolific population of transition aged foster youth throughout San Bernardino County. My work with YAP has allowed me to reach beyond the scope of foster youth only to impact many other groups of youth in our community as well."

Thoughts on YAP: I'm pleased to say I have been a part of the Youth Action Project and its development for the past 5 years. I have watched the organization as it has become an example to other non-profits providing services for the greater good of the community.YAP is a program of excellence and proves to expand it's scope in the services we provide each year.We do this thru leadership training, youth development, educational enhancement, economic & community development which empower the communities we serve "One Youth at a Time".

Thoughts on YAP: YAP provides an opportunity to help High School students develop new goals (passing the Exit Exam, improve their grades, think about college as a realistic possibility) and to help them achieve these goals with assistance from a mentor. YAP also provides peer mentors with an opportunity to give back to the community while developing new professional skills like, coaching, life skills training, tutoring, teaching and case management. YAP also provides these students with opportunities to interact/network with adults from a variety of professional backgrounds.
